Canon Abilities/Powers: please bare with me because this is long.

Amaterasu has a lot of abilities available to her. Not only is she originally a Goddess (who is well equipped to spiritual sensing and reacting offensively to malicious or demonic possessions), but she's also a wolf, and a wolf comes as a separate package!

The senses are very important to a wolf. Smell is a wolf's most developed and greatest asset— The ability is one hundred times greater than a human's ability to smell, and twelve times more when compared to the average domestic dog. Next to smell, their sense of hearing is the next best thing! While the domestic dog can hear about sixteen times better than a human can, the wolf can do it better. Depending on the obstacles around them, such as trees and buildings, wolves are able to pick up frequencies and sounds an estimated ten miles away from where it stands.

A wolf's powerful legs and large paws were built for speed and agility- and Ammy is no exception. A wolf can maintain an average speed of twenty-five miles per hour, its fastest limit being thirty-five to forty miles per hour. Now, it is possible that Ammy could be faster than this, considering her divinity— but just to keep things safe, we'll keep the top speed at forty.

Lastly, we have the built in weapons. Teeth, fangs, and claws. Self explanatory, these can do enough damage on their own. Jaws, for example: It's said that a wolf's bite strength can reach up to one thousand five hundred pounds per square inch.

As a goddess, Ammy is well equipped with divine and supernatural abilities. The most important (and the most stressed) in the game, is the use of the Celestial Brush and the techniques that go with it (the brush being her tail). There are thirteen techniques learned from the various brush gods, and I'll list them below.
 
(sunrise): this is Ammy's own ability. As the sun goddess, she can naturally bring out the sun, by simply drawing a circle in the sky.

(rejuvenation): this allows Ammy to restore and fix damaged objects, whether it be a broken bridge, a shallow lake, or a damaged water mill, by filling the broken area with ink.

(power slash): by drawing a straight line through an enemy, a rock, or an object, Amaterasu can slash and cut through things swiftly and silently.

(greensprout): now, there are three different techniques under the greensprout category, the first one being Bloom. By drawing a circle around a tree, ( in some cases, a target ), or a dead patch of plants, this allows them to bloom with health. Under bloom, by drawing a dot or line on the grass, Ammy can sprout temporary trees and patches of flowers. ( it can be noticed that when she's running, flowers bloom behind her, then shortly after, disappear ). Next is the Water Lily. By drawing a circle in the water, a giant lily pad appears! Big enough for her and for others to jump on. It's okay, it'll support almost anyone! Now, lastly, is Vine. When an open Konohana blossom is spotted, a vine can be formed between Ammy and the blossom by drawing a squiggly line that connects the two, allowing her to swing from blossom to blossom. Like a canine Tarzan.

(cherry bomb): by drawing an upside down Q, Ammy can create cherry bombs. As the fuse grows shorter, there's enough time to roll them around. Once coming in contact with a solid, a target, or fire, it explodes immediately. Only one can be drawn at a time, causing the first to explode on site if another is painted.

(waterspout): like greensprout, waterspout also has different categories under the technique itself. If there is a source of water available, by drawing a line from water to fire, or an enemy, the water can drench them and put out them flames-- only if the water is already pre-existing! Next is Deluge. By drawing two vertical lines, Ammy is able to summon temporary rain

(crescent): by drawing a crescent in the sky, the moon can be summoned and turn day into night.

(galestorm): by drawing a loop, a gust of wind can be summoned. By drawing three horizontal lines, a whirlwind can come crashing through.

(inferno): similar to waterspout, if an existing fire source is present, Ammy can catch things on fire by drawing a line to it. By drawing the infinity symbol, she can create fire across a large area .

(veil of mist): by drawing two horizontal lines, it's possible for time around her to slow down to a near stop for up to four seconds.

(catwalk): this allows Ammy to walk up walls- only if the statue of Kabegami is present. Therefore, this technique wouldn't be usable.

(thunderstorm): with an overhead lightening storm present, Ammy can summon a thunderbolt, or, she can do the same by drawing a zigzag

(blizzard): and lastly, we have blizzard. By using an existing ice source, it's possible to freeze the target. It's also possible to create a temporary ice storm, by drawing a six pointed asterisk.
 
All these techniques combined can be dangerous- though, it's also possible for Ammy to lose these abilities. There's a limit to how much she can do at a time, depending on her ink supply. Once it runs out, Ammy temporary loses her divine markings and instrument, reverting to a plain old white wolf, until the ink pots refill.

And, last but not least! A very important thing- perception. A character will be able to see Ammy in one of three different ways, and that will depend on the following. If the character in question is either (a) a divine being, (b) a ghost/spirit,or (c) a person who has a very strong, devoted, unmoving belief in their religion/spirits/the Gods, or a God, they will see Ammy as the goddess she is- still a white wolf, but she will appear a bright, glowing, almost illuminating white, the crimson markings on her body will be visible, as well as the weapon on top of her back, solar flare, and the small, celestial-like swirls/wings on each paw, with bigger ones on her shoulders.

If, by chance, a character is none of the above mentioned, all they will see is a white wolf.

The third instance, is if the character is an animal. It has been mentioned, in-game, that animals are able to see and/or sense that she is . . . not something out of the ordinary. ( For instance, her smell is definitely something different. A delightful, yet strange, alien scent. She might look a bit too bright, coat wise, and her markings might be visible to some. )

As a final note, as Ahmi, she went to school and became an holistic therapist, so she can give extremely wonderful massages among other therapeutic things!


What is their greatest negative emotion towards an object, situation, or person in their past?:
possibly anger toward demons/demonic beings. ahmi is for one extremely benevolent towards nearly everyone and everything despite their mistakes (usually as humans)— but if there's one thing she can react violently towards, it's evil forces: beings that fight against her, what she stands for, undoing her good for no higher reason and dare to harm her earth and her children.


How aware are they of this negative emotion, and how do they act on it in canon?:
she's very aware of this emotion and considers it an asset that's primarily focused on the right thing. in the recent past, she was a little cautious of it, her present religious beliefs keeping her from reacting in such ways, but ahmi at this point has regained far more ammy in her, we should say, and takes this emotion as a weapon to go good with.


What is their greatest virtue?:
ahmi is a goddess, sticking to her centuries-old title origin of all that is good and mother to us all, her virtues are an all high and she herself represents positive virtues at their best. looking through the principle seven virtues, it's hard to choose one, specifically, when ahmi is the source of them all: chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness and humility. i'm not entirely sure if this makes sense, but what i'd like to reinforce in the end is that ahmi doesn't have one greatest virtue— she is virtue.


How aware are they of their virtue, and how do they act on it in canon?:
she's certainly humble about it, but she's very self aware and knows what she is. she always keeps patience in mind and acts as naturally as the goodness in her flows. amaterasu participated in many side quests that help people with their odd jobs, randomly feeding animals, or even more difficult life saving tasks, and ahmi is no different. when she isn’t fighting a demon to force it to let go of her children (be it the earth, people, animals), she’s taking care of the little ones in ways not dissimilar to ōkami— she adores charity events, especially those that have to do with actual children, and offers her hand in any help needed.

on her more extensive list, god bless RPGs, are her weapons, known as divine instruments that can be found and switched out from her astral pouch (hammer space). we will briefly break this down! note that these weapons, while are rather numerous in name only really differentiate in aesthetic. in okami, each one is stronger than the next, but i wouldn’t mind grouping them all into a reasonable power level. only a few have elemental extras, and those will be mentioned.

REFLECTORS: the first class of divine instrument. they can only be used for a close-range slash attacks when set as the main weapon and act as a shield to block attacks when used as a sub-weapon. there are four different reflectors available in game: divine retribution (can be used as a fire source), snarling beast, infinity judge, trinity mirror and solar flare (can be used as a fire source). i have her use solar flare as a default.
ROSARIES: used for a long-range fast-striking attacks when set as the main weapon and can be fired like bullets when subbed, consisting of lower attack power compared to other divine instruments. includes, as with the reflectors: devout beads, life beads, exorcism beads, resurrection beads and tundra beads (can be used as an ice source).
GLAIVES: these launch a charged attack which can be devastatingly powerful when fully-charged if equipped as the main weapon. when subbed, it can perform a powerful wide-spread strike which can also be charged, but, it’s also pretty slow. includes: tsumugari, seven strike, blade of kusanagi, eighth wonder, and thunder edge (can be used as an electricity source).

What game are you bringing your character from?: [community profile] recolle, a game where characters were born in modern day earth and slowly regained the life they used to live in the form of memories, abilities and items. ahmi is from end game so she's regained her past sense of self as amaterasu with only just a few changed quirks between them— essentially, as shiranui was reborn as amaterasu, ahmi still considers herself amaterasu and continues the cycle of her rebirth. her application for recolle, which includes some background information can be found here, and here for more in depth.

Special Notes: please let me know if the amount of abilities or weapons is Too Much (which, i cry, it's a lot) and i'd be happy to have her toned down and nerf some of the brush abilities, just let me know to what extent! if the amount of weaponry is far too much as well, i don't mind her having one of each weapon, which would be solar flare (reflector), tundra beads (rosaries) and thunder edge (sword).
